The Labor leader has pledged to work with the Chancellor on the basis of a shared desire to work in Britain's interests, which includes keeping Britain in the single market and customs union. Mr Corbyn said he was ready to offer the Government a fresh chance to work with Labour to achieve a "sensible" Brexit. He said: "I think the Chancellor has been trying to do what Theresa May wasn't, or at least not was successful in doing. But on what would happen if the deal offered by Labour was rejected, Mr Corbyn declined to be more specific, though he pointed out that Labour was ready for a "no deal" scenario. And the issue has been brought into sharper focus by the interventions of Michael Gove and Liam Fox, who both warned that Labour were seeking to reopen talks with the EU. Mr Fox suggested that Mr Corbyn was not willing to take the fight to a general election, while Mr Gove claimed it was entirely up to Labour party members. Mr Gove described the political options facing Mr Hammond as "grim". "This week the outcome of the Brexit negotiations becomes more uncertain. "There are good reasons to worry that the talks will go wrong and that no deal will happen. "If that's what we get, then in December Britain will leave the European Union without any deal at all," he wrote in The Sun.
